It is. Just use a compatibility site and you'll do fine.

CPU has zero insertion force.

Legos require some insertion force.

Therefore, legos require more work to put together than computers.

The risk of a small static shock turning your component into an expensive paperweight carries a certain air of caution that you'll never experience with a LEGO set.

Plus I've never seen a LEGO set that required a screwdriver.

That said, neither endeavor is difficult.

It's more like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. There's only one way it goes together, or it won't work. Follow instructions. That's really it.

I mean... A lot of it is pretty straightforward once you have all of the parts. Everything easily slots into the motherboard, power supply is modular and clearly labeled. Hardest part would be making sure the 3 pin and 4 pin nconnectors are plugged into the right spots.

easy but when the pc has problems it can become kind of stressful. the pc I'm currently using had a BSOD problem back in 2019 (itd bsod every 10 mins or something). These were all new parts at the time and I didn't know what was wrong for a few days. I do have replacement rams and stuff so i tried those but didn't fix anything. i then sent the cpu to the dealer and got a replacement the next day. it still BSOD. sent back mobo to the dealer and got a replacement which solved the problem. felt relieved after that.

They read or watch guides on how to do it.

What do you even mean by that? If it turns on and they're able to install an operating system and all the drivers for their components, it's working properly.

the edges of the plugs of those power cables can be kinda sharp. They can also be really stiff to plug in. I once pushed quite hard trying to get the motherboard power it, the corner edge of those plugs cut into my thumb.

Also, i always fear i put too much thermal paste on my cpu.

It's definitely not easy. It's not like super hard but people calling it easy are just peacocking.

Nowadays, I just order pre-builts
