my work is contract based and ends like next month feel like imma have to beg for more $$$ like a little b*****

my industry has a ton of work, hard to find people, and any new people coming in as a starter is probs getting paid more than me and Ive been here for like 3 years with little pay rises since (cos of the COVIDs) feel like Im getting short handed

not me personally. i was going to but the guy i worked with at the time said he tried and they just said he was free to look for other work. they would just replace him with someone else and offer them even less than what he was making.

I just change jobs at this point. I've been doing this for several years now and my pay has doubled compared to the previous 13 years as a faithful employee always being told "You make too much".

yeah no doubt its a risk Ill have to take - but I feel like they will cave in as the industry is lacking finding people and they are literally picking up students straight out of university - this never happens unless ur like a prodigy lol

a title change is like 10-20k extra per year
