Yeah even if I didn't care for story as it progressed. It's not bad it just goes a direction that feels less like being a hit man. And more like a special agent

I haven't played the series, but isn't the main character named Agent 47 lol

Yeah. But you feel like just a regular Heyman doing regular hit jobs. He works for a agency of hitmen hence the agent part of his name. In this trilogy it becomes killing people to bring a particular group down for reasons other than money. Therefore to me it doesn't feel like being a hit man. Assassin would be a more fitting word. Semantics I know but it felt cooler when he was just some guy killing for money no personal stakes in why he's killing.

Game is still fun as hell though. And despite my issue with the story it's not a bad story.

The final mission was very good imo. I love that you can choose to give the target (for him) a fate worse than death if you want.

Absolution while an OK game is probably the worst one. Iirc there are literally missions you don't have to kill anyone. You where more a fugitive on the run in that one than a Heyman.

Though it did have one of my favorite kills dressing up as a masked wrestler to kill the target in front of a live audience

I just wish I had the skill in the first one to kill that one guy just by showing up in your default outfit causing him to have a heart attack cause he knows why you are there.

Probably the toughest hitman mission I've ever played

Yeah I think you gotta unlock some shit like alternate starting spots to do it though. Don't think it can be done first time. If so it would take a lot of time and patience.

But yeah it's a challenge for the mission. Only reason I even know about it

Buddy you must not have played any of the old games because more often than not, 47 has personal stakes and has to take down a personal enemy. In fact, iirc all 3 of the PS2 games are like that (which I adored).

Blood Money I have endless love for but special shout out to Contracts. Just a dark, lovely game.

I know silent assassin did to a a degree but it was the over arching story. The individual targets not so much. He was taking contracts to earn money/info for personal reasons.

Maybe I went about it the wrong way. Hitman 3 in particular felt too over the top with who and what your targets where. Which took away the feeling of being a Hitman

The old one seems amazing on the surface but is actually incredibly frustrating and not fun to play.

Not sure about the new one

Yeah I can't get into contracts and silent assassin anymore. They aged poorly. Blood money and up is still fun as hell.

I agree. Absolution was an all right game. However it felt like I was playing Splinter Cell than a Hitman game.

Absolutely love the Hitman trilogy. My favorite stealth game series of all time; the maps are so brilliant. Had a blast figuring out each level and especially when trying to them Silent Assassin, Suit Only.
