Yeah, Arwen had zero relevance in Two Towers, and adding her in the movie had about as much backlash as removing Tom Bombadil.

She was supposed to fight in Helm's Deep, and they had to re-write it due to the negative response, and even then, there was still some hostility from the fanbase.

There's some legitimate criticism with all of that. I didn't like the elves in Helm's Deep in general and putting Arwen there would have been lame. I was talking about people who were mad about her and Eowyn in general, especially the Eowyn scene.
