Thirty weeks...

Thirty two weeks.

One of the men believed to be involved in Elnaz's abduction are still at large, there have been several arrests made in the international luxury auto theft ring, including most recently a couple of youths from Montreal QC operating out of a warehouse in Bolton ON.

Elnaz's where abouts are still unknown, but there does seem to be an awareness about the case and continued hope that she can be brought home alive.

I am trying to focus on the positives; the realities of a case like this can deminish hope if not outright kill it. I want to see a positive resolution for Elnaz's family.

Somebody missing for that long is dead.

Heard of a bust at a compound, have not heard any positive news though.

Statistically, yes; the family is hoping for the long odds but every passing day saps hope. Elizabeth Smart is the exception, not the rule.

Not really. In a dispute with the landlord, another tenant is claiming he is the landlord now after hospitalizing his wife and has engaged in threats, harassment and assaults that the police are turning a blind eye to, because only the Landlord Tenant Board can be the victim and it takes eight months just to get a file number, leaving the criminal element carte blanche to terrorize us.

I need to move but cannot afford what is being charged in rent, (the cheapest accommodation available is a motel for 3k a month) so I am trying to get my stuff into storage but the abuser physically put himself in front of the truck that was to deliver my storage container and because he threatened death, the company will not deliver a container until he has been removed from the property, which the police won't do because the complaint has not come through the landlord tenant board.

My mother prevented him from being run over when he stood in the drivers blindspot, he punched her in the ribs breaking one, but because he was between her and the camera it only caught her saving his life and not the punch. She was charged and dumped in hospital for two weeks until they realized they were liable for their treatment of her and released her with no where to go. Shelters are full, transitional housing is full, halfway houses are full.

When she arrives in town last night in hospital scrubs and the Padre couldn't help, she called police and told them she was coming home. The police arrived after her abuser called them and took her away. She was supposed to be released this afternoon but I have not heard from her, she left her phone here.

I have been struggling just to eat and care for myself.

Yeah it is triggering, but I don't think they were being malicious.

That's a sad story (I'd assume she's dead if she's been missing that long) but out of curiosity, what's your interest in this particular case that's kept you following it for so long?

Local news, this is my backyard so to speak. It was being buried in the media because of the clownvoy and Ukraine and it was very likely going to fall through the cracks of the 24 hour news cycle. With what I suspected based on the early information about the case, I knew there were interests who would have been happy if the story fell off the publics radar.

I have time and a voice, I used it.

There is a spotlight on it now, so keeping up the thread here is almost redundant but I have been using it as a means to check in with interested parties while I have been undergoing my own struggle over the past couple of months.

If this thread stops updating before Elnaz is found, (or hits 500, whichever comes first) it will be one of many flags that goes up.

Also, shout out to the women of Iran.

Another arrest has been made in the attack that predated the abduction, will post some articles when I get to my computer later.
