even if they're in pristine new condition. From talking to a lot of my clients that sell stuff on Amazon as third party sellers, it's just simpler and cheaper to destroy it then to repackage and sell the same item again. Plus it free's up inventory space. Kind of makes me feel bad because I've done it a couple of times last year.

I saw that Panorama video where they even throw away new items. Like laptops, TV's, books ect.

Fucking insane how much landfill they occupy.

Yeah I didn't even know they will throw away even new items. I bought a new laptop from my client for my wife until I learned she already got the same laptop from a friends of hers on her Birthday. So I returned it. 2 Months later I talk to him again and I made a side comment, "Oh hey, I hope that new laptop found a new owner." That's when I learned he ended up just trashing it and any other returned items that are not considered "hot items". I'm just feeling guilty about it because at least if I knew that I could probably give it away as a gift to one of my friends or family members.
