They're the direct sequel to Return of the Jedi people have always wanted. Ever since the original Thrawn trilogy, people have wondered what happened after Return of the Jedi. These shows are serving a dual purpose of finally fleshing out Boba Fett + Mandalorians in live action while also showing us the aftermath of Return of the Jedi. Jabba's Palace taken over by Bib Fortuna, rival gangs moving in on his territory, Luke setting up his training temple, the New Republic out on patrol instead of the Empire...

It also deals with so many fan-favorite characters we've never seen in live action, and it handles them so well. From Ahsoka to Cad Bane, these characters are finally hitting the eyes of the 'casual' Star Wars fan in a well-executed fashion.

The film trilogy released about Rey and the others was...pretty good, up until 9, but this stuff after that has been excellent. This is what people wanted from post-RotJ Star Wars. I haven't been this excited about Star Wars in a long, long time. Maybe not since I was nine years old and Episode 1 had just released. This feels like that, but magnified so many times over because it's telling a NEW story set in an unexplored era.

Do you think we'll see Han Solo, Leia, and Baby Ben Solo on either of these shows?

Theyve got to, right? I mean, Luke only became a hermit after Ben turned, correct?

Yeah. If the shows and the sequel trilogy fall under the same timeline.

Outside of his political opinions which are straight dogshit, Gob has rather decent views

I feel the opposite. I feel like the Mandalorian is the best thing Disney has done with star wars, but ONLY when they keep established characters out of the show.

I don't really want to see more boba Fett. Or more Luke. Or ahsoka and cad bane.

Give me new stories, in new locations (no more tattooine PLEASE), and new characters. The Mandalorian has done an amazing job at this for the majority of it's episodes.

The Book of Boba Fett, with the exception of episode 5, has been extremely disappointing.

Also, I can't stand the sequel trilogy. Absolute trash.

I'm expecting Sabine to make an appearance in the next season, maybe with some insight on Ezra's whereabouts. The show seems to be turning into the soft sequel to the cartoons I hoped it would.
