I keep seeing news outlets reporting stuff like Microsoft being "interested in the metaverse" or Nintendo being asked about it. What are people referring to? Is it just a cheeky way of asking if companies are interested in crossovers/collaborations? Is there some sort of upcoming app called The Metaverse? Or is it just a really general question about how companies are getting into cross-media approaches now? I feel left out and old. its supposed to be VR the next evolution of it you can live a virtual life and spend money in there thats what these nfts and crypto are all leading to but truely itll fail for now theyll have to wait atleast 50years before it can be implemented the way they want. Which is people living their entire life in the metaverse and spending real money in the metaverse. They need the kids of the current ipad generation this stuff wont work on generations that grew up on The Matrix but this current group of toddlers who watch ipads and youtube all day their kids will fall for it. Several companies are throwing their hats at building their version of the metaverse. Meta, Epic Games, Roblox and I believe Microsoft have all mentioned plans. I dont think any one of them will own it ... Copied to Clipboard!
