I've been getting Purina One Pro Plan recently, but food prices are absurdly high. It's like $70 for 41lbs at PetSmart

I got two dogs that equal 150lbs and theyll go through a bag fairly fast.

Recently I went to Krogers and saw they had 50lbs of Pet Pride for $15 or so. So I'm trying that out. Reviews make it seem okay. Not great but better than what their great great grandparents had and they get my left overs (within reason)

I get Taste of the Wild for mine. Decently priced, good ingredients, and enough flavors for me to rotate through to get her different types of protein.

make my own, its simple enough. stopped buying bag food years ago with my former dog who kept having allergic reactions to something in the kibble.

Alpo it has this nice crunchy taste and mixes well with other food.

Royal Canin for yorkies.

Science Diet for our dogs.

I had to buy hills science diet for my Pyrenees or he'd form crystals in his bladder and pee blood

Purina pro complete essentials age 7+ blend (chicken and rice)

lentils, oats, random vegitables i've got on hand (carrots and leafy greens mostly), a meat source (normally chicken or fish or egg), a bit of oil and sometimes a bit of multivitamin powder.

my last dog had pretty bad skin allergies for a large portion of his life. wittled it down to a food allergy so i spent years trying to find one that didn't set him off. went through all the big brands, "vet approved" brands like science diet, and even tried those bullshit raw food brands; none of it worked. then i started making his food and his skin cleared up. also had the added benefit of fixing some of his stomach issues, he had a habit of inhaling kibble without chewing.

you've got to keep in mind, dogs aren't wolves that's bullshit market speak. they went 10s of thousands of years eating our leftovers, you can feed them a limited human diet without the grease heavy shit we favor today and they'll be perfectly happy and healthy.

it's ftw. i give my dog nature's dominion salmon and sweet potato dog food. half of a unseasoned chicken breast and some fresh pet dog food every night.

if i get at least one more year with her it'll be good. she's already 11 years.
the longest i have owned a pet.
