Im oldbefore all the classifications for metal. Back then it was heavy and then thrash arrived. What I called black metal back in the day was stuff like Venom and Mercyful Fate. Heres one of my all time favorite concept albums. Its a horror story told over the course of the album. King Diamonds The Graveyard https://youtu.be/bJSm6GvDl_E This song, Heads on the Wall, is meant to be atmospheric as its the inner mind of an insane killer and his escape from an asylum and exactly where the heads on the wall came from. It picks up at 3:35. Most of the album shreds. I love this album so much.
