I imagined Connor would have lots of kids and help bring humanity closer to a utopian society. So, basically some unimaginable story of goodness following the original movie. He lays down his sword. People eventually learn to transcend their physical forms, ascending to an astral realm as ancestral spirits whose wisdsom and whose words can be drawn on by those of us still left behind in the mortal coil. The sequels just don't capture the magic of the original, for me.
