Fox News specifically called them what they were as well. Nobody said they created most of the content.

The idea of worker exploitation did not start on antiwork, it was just a space that collected posts across the internet and this mod wasn't the person even doing that work. lol work.

I never said either of those things and neither did Fox News.

The conversation was so bad it didn't even get close to that point. So none of this conversation is relevant really. The reputation of the subreddit is down the gutter because of the actions that moderator took and the way they chose to display themselves to try and represent their community.

Their mission/welcome statement or w/e you want to call it:

We believe that each person should not be worked to death by their employers with ridiculous wages that are unable to cover basic life needs. We believe that all labor should provide every person with all basic life necessities, which includes food, healthcare, and sheltering. One should not have to give up one for the other -- they are fundamental human rights and there should not be exceptions to that.

We will be updating this post to include rules and whatnot in the coming hours. For now, feel free to post whatever you desire as long as it is related to today's work culture or the recent events of r/Antiwork.

Literally a W for FOX News imo. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

Apparently according to some comments, the mod actually only worked 10 hours... had to say 20 hours because 10 hours sounds too low. Lmao.

Just had to interview all dirty too... at least be prepared to be on National Television. Now making the whole community looking like a joke...

You'd think if you were going on national television you'd at least clean yourself up a bit and try to look respectable and try to obscure the mountain of shit behind you.

I could give a single fuck for the douchewads on reddit, but this was a legitimate issue that, with the right spokesperson could've shed light on the fair wage struggles which have preyed on low income (particularly minorities)families that I greatly empathized towards.

Now these dumbfucks set that all back again coming off as lazy, privileged slackers leeching off the economy. Good job reddit again!

It's a fact that any stories that don't match up with the tiny little bitesize perspective one person has of the world proves that they're fake. If they weren't fake, Id of personally had the exact experience at some point. But none of that stuff has ever happened in my house where I live alone and I spend most my time

I actually know a subreddit mod IRL. She's a mod for one of those whiny service worker story subreddits. She's like 35 and still lives with her parents. I got a few funny stories about her.
