If they truly believe in heaven, then what's going to happen when a woman's husband dies, she remarries, and then the three of them meet in heaven?

I believe a Pharisee asked Jesus about this and He said it didnt matter because they would all be perfect in the afterlife.

Pretty sure til death do us part means the marriage is over when one of them dies, so nobody in heaven is married, I guess.

the christian heaven doesn't have people walking around living human lives. so the premise is flawed to begin with

Supposedly you will recognize them but you won't remember this life. Since you can't be sad in heaven your memories have to be erased. Basically you won't be you anymore

Reproduction is a fleshly thing. The afterlife is spiritual.
This implies no sex in the afterlife as Jesus says you will be like the angels.

Angels are thought by some to be androgynous.

But it is easy to understand. Immortals having kids is bad.

from what I've read there is no provision in the bible about two people having a reunion of sorts after they die. they join with god and...that's that.

marriage is a sort of "imitation" of that. therefore widows are permitted to remarry of course.

The concept is that in heaven you have no memory of your earthly life.

Btw, it is often said a certain drug and sex have the same chemical reaction in the brain.

People going "what no sex in heaven! I rather go to hell!" have the dumbest take because if all the pleasure is from a certain reaction, then you could have better things as a totally different type of being aka spiritual. Think mass effect asari.
Also, the idea that you have loads of sex in hell is a misconception as well. Hell is eteneraly dark and you are being burned in horrible pain. You won't be having sex. And since you body doesn't die from this, you can figure out that what you are in hell is also different than fleshly existence anyways.

But when you present the biblical idea of heaven and hell, it breaks their mind because it is so far from the idea of human life. Those are nice pictures but they dont explain what you will do for eternity. I dont think many Christians actually consider what living forever means. You can do every possible thing a billion trillion times and still have eternity to be bored.

^ Of no one in Heaven ever feels sick/enraged/depressed at the thought of precious friends/family that they will never see again being forever tortured and krying out in agony, I doubt boredom would be a thing either.
