48 y/o James Iannazzo, the racist Merrill Lynch VP who was arrested and fired after branding a smoothie shop worker as a "f***ing immigrant loser" was sobbing uncontrollably claiming he lost hi temper after warning staff that his son was allergic to nuts only for them to prepare the drink with one triggering a severe reaction!!

He was arrested on charges of intimidation based on bias, breach of peace and criminal trespass when his fit of rage at a Robeks in Connecticut was caught on video when he hurled racist and f-bombs at the teen female employees

He threw the drink at 18 y/o Gianna Miranda who works there part time.

He has been working at Merril Lynch since 1995 and was most recently VP at wealth management who has since been terminated

He lives in a swanky 2.64 million 5 bath colonial style mansion who said he went to the shop at 1pm to pick up a smooth without incident and less than an hour later came back in fury when he was on the call with 911 for his 17 y/o son suffering from a life threatening anaphylactic shock after drinking the smoothie. He said the stress of that medical emergency tipped him over the edge

Robeks haven't said the prepped drink had a nut product but he remains adamant that it triggered it. He tells Dailymail that he made regrettable comments because his son was taken to hospital after collapsing at his home and told the girls not to put peanuts in them.

He said "My son lost the capacity to breathe properly, his lips and face swelled up, and he required an EpiPen shot but it did not offer him relief. I called 911. My son then went ot the bathroom, threw up and fell unconscious to the floor. He threw up again. My wife gave him another EpiPen while i called 911 again. Thank god he is donig okay"

He demanded to know who made the dirnk but the girls didn't know since it happened an hour ago as his tirade was all caught on camera. He said he lost his mind when he went there and wish he had not done so but also wished the girls were more careful preparing the dirnk and extend his apologies

He has now hired a lawyer although has yet to say if he'll sue over the peanut incident but conceded his behaviour went too far as he deeply regrets his actions and do not reflects his character or values and feels terrible

The girls however said he asked for no peanut butter in the smoothie but never mentioned an allergy

In 2021, Iannazo was ranked the 24th best wealth advisor in Connecticut making him one of the richest in the state. He is now charged with one felony and 2 misdemeanors and if convicted faces 6 years in the big house and a 6000 fine

Entitled racist asshole gets his just desserts. Too bad he may have a case against them and will likely get some sort of large cash settlement for his son's nut allergy emergency unless there is some sort of audio proof to incriminate him in regards to him being ignorant / negligent when placing the order. Regardless his evil, bigoted nature surfaced during that incident. Someone who is pissed about a medical emergency involving a family member from a accident like this wouldn't go to slurs and violent anger so quickly unless it is their true nature. Chances are he'll end up working somewhere else behind the scenes making similar pay though. No real justice in this world.

Yeah, the father was totally in the right to be upset about what happened to his kid, but his behavior is inexcusable.

If he had just sued the place or something, he probably would've won since the fault was entirely on them. Instead, he took the unhinged approach and lost everything.

I've seen ice cream and smoothie places that have a sign in the window warning people with nut allergies that ordering there could have complications.

I empathise with him for his son, but that's it. This is one of those times where you elevate your complaint above the workers that allegedly made the bad smoothie. What you don't do is hurl racist epithets, try to break into employee only areas, and throw garbage at them in your rage.

I read in another article that if you have a nut allergy they have a sign saying you need to specifically tell them that because they prepare that food in a special blender that doesn't ever have nuts in it. The blender they normally use has the residue of other nut drinks even if you order a drink without nuts.

What happened to his son absolutely sucks but mistakes/accidents happen. He'd have to prove malice with the girls not making the drink as it was ordered.

He obviously wasn't in the right and deserves every punishment. But it is well known that those investment banking jobs even in the high end tends to create psychopaths. For all we know, he could've used to be a perfectly reasonable person. But then again, I'm sure being racism has nothing to do with it, and that's all on him.

If you have a deadly allergy, you unfortunately shouldn't order from a place that actively uses that ingredient because there is always a chance of cross contamination. I used to work at a DQ in HS and I would always say we will cleam the maching but there is always a chance of cross contamination because items are stored next to nuts and made in the same factory.

There's a fair chance he was the one who didn't specify that allergy and it was his fault but he wanted to push the blame on teens.
