It was surprisingly not bad? Given the mass amount of hate it gets I was expecting a shitshow like Origins but it was pretty middle of the road X-men. I can understand it being a little underwhelming after the masterpiece that was Logan though

For me, it wasn't a terrible movie, but it was just had "why did they make this movie at all" kinda vibes

It didn't do anything exciting except for killing Mystique, and even that was tainted because she was like the martyr

I liked it. Hans Zimmers score helps a lot.

Another one of those movies that is widely hated and I never got why. It was hardly X3 Last Stand bad.

i hate it when one of the heroes becomes the threat but then aliens or some shit come in

superman v batman then doomsday comes in
godzilla v kong but some robot comes in
cap'n murica v iron man then thanos comes in

the focus of the story on the responsibility of the first two sides just resolves itself because of an interfering third party is bullshit

jean is becoming too powerful and dangerous to anyone close to her? nah she can actually control it later and only for aliens

eh. I think they just need to lay off Phoenix for a good long while...

The movie came out like a year after Disney bought fox but was filmed in the middle of the merger for the most part. Then they did reshoots like a few months after. The movie has no point since they arent MCU yet and theyre clearly scrapping what these movies did so it was justwhatever. Magneto was great as always though.
