Btw, as a hip hop head. This is super hypocritical. Especially to defend someone who has had some the most egregious sampling in the business. Hip hop is built on taking someone's original song and making your own version. It's hard to see Kanye as the visionary people think he is when it becomes obvious he's just someone who obsesses over stuff that's new to him that he doesn't actually understand. It's gonna sound different because anyone without his dedicated fanbase wouldn't make it anywhere trying to get popular with the music he makes. You have to already be popular to get people to give in to it. It's not a genius guy making music. It's a guy that convinced others he's a genius accepting his music because they think if they don't get it right away it's because it's deeper than it is. He's a genius like Trump is a genius.
