https://www.polygon.com/features/22891555/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga-has-led-to-extensive-crunch-at-tt-games And apparently it's been a problem at TT Games for a long time. Key to the development of Skywalker Saga in particular was management's insistence that they work in a new internally developed engine rather than pay the license for Unreal. Also apparently a now-scrapped feature was a God of War style combat tree. --- CyricZ He/him ... Copied to Clipboard!

The thing that gets me the most is that there's a "Mumble Mode" so you can turn the spoken dialogue into grunting like they had in the early LEGO games. Like if ever there was indication that there was some real heart and soul being put into this game, it'd be that. Moral dilemma. Ethical dilemma. --- CyricZ He/him ... Copied to Clipboard!

As someone who's been dying for a return to early LEGO game mimicry, this mumble mode really isn't at all what I'm looking for. It's not turning the dialogue through a filter into something less perceptive that I want, it's conveying the narrative through gesticulation and mimicry unlike what you do in a spoken word story. However, based on the trailer it does seem character dialogue is a lot less intrusive than in previous voiced LEGO games. Especially LEGO The Force Awakens. That might not be representative, though. --- "That thick shaft that causes women to shudder!" ... Copied to Clipboard!
