I really don't hope they go 'woke' with it. It wasn't a massive, overbearing dig on conservatives. It was always very minimal and very subtle which made it work.

Also Bill explicitly used to be really cool and occupy the same role in the group that Hank does at the time the show is set. His wife divorcing him destroyed him and began his spiral into the miserable shell of a human being he is today.
Boomhauer is single but is more analogous to John Redcorn than the other 3. He seems to get around.
He even congratulates Hank on sleeping with Nancy after Hank informs him and Bill that Nancy slept with some one other than Redcorn, before Hank glares at him and clarifies that Dale slept with her.

I guess you are probably right, but I always saw it as a 'soft' jab at the ignorance, and often stupidity, of a stereotypical middle-America conservative family. Though also showing that they were human and good-natured.

That said, as I reflect, there was definitely some characterization of liberal stereotypes and they were often seen as 'crazy' or 'out there'.

I say either age Bobby up to 24-26 or keep him the same age. Aging him up would offer a lot newer material and I think would work a lot better. The world is so much different now than it was in 2009 last we saw the Hills. Bobby as an early 20 something that is trying his best to make it in the world, but Hank thinks he's slacker because its always about doge coin this, NFT that, can't keep tik tok from Instagram straight. And it's the age where you start to see your parents as more human.

And let Bill be married to an emotionally abusive woman but he loves it.

They already did a story of Bobby falling for a radical leftist type (the vegan girl or whatever). They aren't rehashing that.

Dale Gribble can become self aware. He hears about this QAnon thing and stumbles upon 4chan. There he reads up on QAnon and is browsing the rest of the site. Then he comes across this:

He becomes terrified and shuts off his computer to never turn it on again. He officially goes Code-Red and evacuates the family to an undisclosed location. First season arc is trying to retrieve Dale. Ends with Hank showing him that its not just Dale that there are memes about, its everyone. Hank, Bobby, Peggy, everyone. That's the point of anonymous, its not that the government is doing this, it's those in his life making these memes. Who can Dale trust?

So QAnon? They are top of his shit list.
