Was reading a Reddit post about beanie babies

got me thinking about collectible things I have.

I still have my old Pokmon and Yugioh cards. My Pokmon ones are worthless but I have a decent amount of rarer Yugioh cards.

then next best thing I got are fully functional N64 games.

Coins and sports cards I'd think, maybe comic books.

I collect coins and stuff.
There's some good potential for investing in that but you really have to be careful you don't get ripped off

I've also noticed most of my fellow coin collectors tend to be older people, so I'm a little worried they'll start dying off and the market will be flooded with estate collections, but I don't know if that fear is realistic

There's really no way of knowing for sure until many years after the fact. A lot of people were sure that Pokemon cards were just a fad when they first came out. And now mint condition Charizards are worth thousands of dollars.

It's going to be a while before they gain in value, but yeah they'll eventually be like wheat pennies

I know people will go to the bank though and buy hundreds of dollars worth of coins and look through them for silver coins, then just take all the extras back. Any half dollar, quarter or dime from 1964 or earlier is 90% silver.
Half dollars from 1965 to 1970 are 40% silver.

Yeah I collect those too. Those are fun to collect. Hard to say whether they'll go up in price with age since they're already 2000 years old, but if you can find good deals they should increase in value as they become harder to find
