At some point, I wouldn't mind taking a long trip to the northern parts of the US. Maine is a target of mine. State parks can have some amazing views.

You remind me to use my telescope during spring/summer. It's an equatorial mount, so it will take a bit to learn.

Maine is awesome!! Highly recommend Baxter State Park or Acadia National Park. Also you have to try out the Lobster over there.

They definitely are, but another thing to consider is that they're both pretty red and religious states. Those features aren't inherently negative, but it's something to consider.

Way more challenging. What it does is look at the base enemy or item (e.g. Imp, Super Shotgun) and randomizes what to spawn based off the base. The randomized things are all created with customized coding and sprite work.

That's pretty cool. Long day today, just got home.

Almost $200 energy bill (gas & electric) last monthly cycle. After work, I am going to investigate usage and rates to see what needs cutting. I heard gas rates went up.

Yeah, and I haven't figured out how to determine how much the electricity and gas rates are on my Ameren account details. I could set the thermostat two degrees lower (currently 72F when I'm home, 70F not at home) and reprogram it to be colder while sleeping. That should drive down gas usage.

Going to be a bit warm this weekend. Forecast says upper 50s!!

Playing some Badminton and Wiffle Ball on Saturday. I dont drink alcohol anymore, but I can imagine it being more funny and challenging if we were all a little tipsy.

It was warm enough to melt some snow here. It was extremely welcome.

I secretly love the layoffs. It would be nice if I was motivated to get something done except for watching youtube movies. Feels pointless. I'd organize the house, but I've have no idea where to start.

Ah, the good ol' days of playing wiffle ball at the grandparents' house. Enjoy the warmer weather. It's been getting into the 50s here, but by the time I get home, I just...don't do anything.

Programmable thermostats are nice, especially if you have the option of four different times per day.

It's easy to get sucked into the world of lazinesd when you have nothing else to do. Maybe make a list of what you want done, then accomplish one thing per day?

I do. It's actually pretty nice.

Time for some venting. Mario Odyssey has a moon within a 2D section where you land on a circular platform. The problem is that the controls become shit on the platform. For example, if Mario's face is pointing to the top of the screen, you move the joystick up to make him move. Why couldn't they program it to be either left or right only? On top of that, the gimmick of the section is to stay within a moving background panel, because if you touch the 3D background, you revert to 3D Mario and fall off the level. You get no real time to figure out the janky platform controls. Oh, and if you do die, you have to redo the long segment before the circle platforms.

I think I know EXACTLY what stage you're referring to because I struggled with it too. Near the end of the game, right?

Yep. I don't remember having difficulty with it years ago, but that could have meant never trying it more than a few times.

I played some Resident Evil 4 VR today and its so addicting.

Gotta get up.

How's the VR element? I feel like I would get incredible motion sickness doing VR anything.

I don't have the ability to test VR right now. I rarely get motion sickness.
