There are like less than ten good ones in the entire game

this game is like the ultimate example of why quality>quantity

There were quests in BotW? I beat that game and all 120 shrines and never found any.

Yeah, some of the side quests are questionable. They just don't usually feel very big? I guess? It mostly just seems like small tasks for small rewards.

I like the shrines, except the ones that require stasis because I have to expend my melee weapons to move objects sometimes.

I'm only at 2 of 4 divine beats in my game right now, but it's fun.

No! Its only a little overrated! Not a 10, but a 9!

The one where you have to go into Hyrule Castle for a recipe is literally the only one I remember. It's one of my favorite games ever, but they're kind of tacked on

I hope that little brat opened up a restaurant. And stopped running around outside and bothering the grown ups. And I hope cricket guy TEXAS SMASHED that one chick.

The climbing miniquest/game is prob the best content of the game. I did that for like 30 hours and got a lot of rupees

I kinda feel like if the map was 1/5 of the size, or smaller, people wouldn't have so much of a problem with the game. There's lots of stuff to do, it's just all spread out.

I mean it's still a solid game even if it didn't hit all the elements correctly. Even with the negatives in the game, I think the pro's outshine it.

It is, but I think it's a valid aesthetic choice.

I never get why people call open world's empty. Like, how dense is an open world supposed to be? I feel like I can't run two feet without bumping into a korok riddle, or traveling NPC, or shrine, or treasure, or riddle, or some shit.

The Elder Scrolls games are open worlds filled with quests and story arcs to play out. BotW aint got no story.

TES4 and 5 are the very first games I can recall that had been called empty open worlds.

That may be, but I watched my brother play 5, and he got to do all sorts of side quests, and theres still no story in BotW. Like, 0. Its ridiculous.

I haven't done many.
The only I remember was hooking that dude up with a Zora.

the problem is that almost none of those things are engaging content

By and large the rewards don't justify the time spent to complete them. I just do them just to get them completed tbh, aside from the few ones where you get a big reward/rare item/unique item.

That's why even though I loved playing the game I always said that there's a LOT of room to improve. I'm hoping the sequel will provide better dungeons, way better sidequests, better activities to find in the overworld (includes mini-dungeons since I'm sure the Shrine concept won't return), and a stronger story. Maybe a better weapon system too, something that really rewards you going out of your way to find a weapon in a hard-to-reach chest and won't shatter after ten uses.

At least you can still see interesting landscape and other things. Scenery, ruined buildings, lakes, etc. If you want big and empty, look at Phantom Pain. At least running on foot around BoTW feels interesting, whereas in Phantom Pain, it's a chore.
