Doesn't show any new Pokemon or Hisuian forms. It's just a basic overview of the gameplay loop using in-game footage.

Also this video doesn't show it, so if you haven't been following along, this game does actually have a story. The noble Pokemon and their wardens seem pretty similar to the trial captains and totems from Sun/Moon, so there will be some progression of going from one to the next. You're also trying to solve the mystery of why some Pokemon are going berserk, and there is of course plot stuff involving legendaries that's been kept completely quiet so far. All we really know is there are two different clans (Diamond and Pearl clans) who have their different opinions on who the creator of Hisui is, and presumably that'll be a large focus of the story too.

I'd rather play Monster Hunter Stories 2. <_<;

Despite having it pre-ordered I'm cautiously pessimistic about this. Nothing I've seen has looked great.

I'm simultaneously optimistic by all the new features Gamefreak has been willing to introduce with this game and actually try to innovate on the formula, while pessimistic about the presentation itself. The clip in the video showing the player turning in a Shinx for the request in utter silence, with lack of voice acting or ambient noise, make it feel so lifeless. I'm hoping the whole game isn't like this

Yeah pokemon has basically become shovelware with their push for yearly releases. Kids will eat it up regardless but the franchise is a shell of it's former self

I took a long break from Pokemon since Sw/Sh, finished the story but haven't played any of its expansion. This looks different and that has me excited to play it.

I'm willing to give a new take on Pokemon a chance, the main series games have turned into a bit of a chore.

New Pokemon Snap was kind of a weird experience because it showed me for... what I guess is unfortunately the first time what a modern Pokemon game can look like when there's even a drop of passion in it. I really want this to continue that trend but nothing I've seen so far gives me much reason to hope.

This winning that most anticipated game poll here a week or two ago just shows to me that there's no hope.

Game looks pretty sweet but Pokemon fans are about the most negative group of people I've ever encountered

They have a right to be.

(SwSh are the best Pokmon games so far)
