How does it stack up to the prior games

I bought 6 on sale last year having never played any of the prior games, so I don't know anything about how it "stacks up", but I've very much enjoyed playing it

Middle

One of the better with all the DLC, as is typical for their games.

Yeah. The AI is kinda dumb, but I think it adds to the series more than it subtracts. Districts were a good idea.

I like it better than 5. Also runs much smoother than 5 for me on Pc

Theres some interesting and fun stuff in it but the AI is so trash it made me totally lose interest after a few real games. And last I checked they still hadnt released the files so people could fully mod it

i got it on Epic Store when they offered it sometime ago. it's actually fun!

For the first time in the franchise really putting forethought into where you will build stuff is super important.

It's alright but I vastly prefer IV and V over it. Some DLC is controversial and potentially a pain in the ass for VI so look into that first. I didn't mind the DLC.

I read on Kotaku that it's better than Civ V with the Brave New World expansion pack.

Eh. It might have some features that you like. Maybe give it a try.

But frankly I prefer Civ 5. It just has a better feel to me.

The gameplay is the best in the series (with the 2 expansions and some of the mini expansions they released after the main expansions).

However, the Achilles Heel of the game is the terrible AI. They never released the codebase to the game like they did with Civ 5, so mods can't even fix the bad AI.

Previously I had been playing V since I didnt want to pay full price for VI. I bought it when it went on sale though and its excellent.
