This and this. Also, my gf lives with me but we still have separate lives most of the time. I still game, go out with friends, etc. Just have a reliable source of sex. (I guess I love her too, but that's not the point of this topic)

Bro do you really love her? Think about what you just said. Like you just referred to her as a source of sex and said I guess I love her and thats how I feel thinking about previous relationships. I did care about them, I did like spending time with them, but not as much as I just like being alone and doing whatever I want when I want.

That may not be your scenario but I just dont like the level of commitment involved. I dont care to deal with other peoples feelings a lot of the time and its not something you can put on hold.

Kinda feel the same way, though I have the added excuse that I just don't think I have the self-confidence in myself to have a gf and not constantly overthink every little thing that comes up, wondering if I'm doing anything wrong or if she's cheating. It's something I know I need to work on before I can even consider caring about someone else.

My previous "friendships" fucked me up with this. I had too many friends who were either just friends because they "felt sorry for me" or were talking bad about me behind my back. I don't trust anyone anymore.

that's gonna be an issue. Texting will get boring fast and people can misinterpret it too easily if your sole communication is over text.

This is what I hate. Every girl younger then me that I have gotten to known isn't comfortable at talking over the phone at all. Even a year younger. I'm like WTF.

You should revisit this again. You might just have too much going in your life to handle a relationship atm, and that's okay. Get that sorted out and be a version of you who can handle it before jumping into one.

Bro theres nobody I want to see everyday. There just isnt. I have people I love and care for but also I need time away from them. Im at the point where Ive accepted that doesnt mean something is wrong with me. Its just not for me.

Just my opinion but if you want to talk Im like lets just hang out. Talking on the phone or FaceTime is just time I could be doing something else. Like I like to be all in on something. If Im hanging out with someone I like to be solely focused on that. If Im playing games I like to be focused on that. I dont like to be on the phone while were both not 100% focused on the conversation at hand.

The key is to not apply any level of great effort from the start. Most women will not like this and will move on, but that works for you. Sooner or later you'll discover somebody who isn't bothered by it or actually likes it.

I feel like you might be the odd one today. No one I have dated likes to talk on the phone, and other than my ex wife, they have all been millennials. pretty much across that full range. So even the older millennials text only. Typically I would see someone I was dating 2 or 3 times a week, so I am not sure what the communication issue is or why we need to actually talk in between seeing each other. I actually freaked out my current gf by calling her about something after we had only been dating a couple months. She thought it must be an emergency lol. She is 29, so I can agree that the phone thing maybe gets more extreme the younger you go, but still seems somewhat consistent.

To be honest, I hate talking on the phone too and i am almost 45. I mostly only talk to my parents and I tend to do that while driving.

Shudder. I get anxiety issues when alone too long. And too long can mean any given Friday or Saturday night. Obviously that is a personal problem though. Extrovert with generalized anxiety disorder.

Oddly enough, a good percentage of my friends (and my gf) are introverts with some social anxiety. I get along with them really well for some reason. I seem to have made some of them more extroverted over time (or maybe just less socially anxious)
