FFT has the best and X-2 has an upgraded version of FFV's job system. Record Keeper has the best ATB battle system in the series but if you don't want to include it X-2's is still the best. I can't tell you a single thing about its storybeats or dialogue after multiple playthroughs other than "Faris is a girl?!?". Nothing got an emotional response from me. FF5 Is the opposite and just takes itself very lightly with a few strong story moments (Galuf, Gilgamesh, Lenna).
