The problem is that it had some solid ideas, but not enough development or time to flesh them out. The same can be said about the characters. I think there are two ways to handle this, either slash the cast in half or if they want to keep all the characters to turn it into a mini-series where they can spend more time developing them. It just felt very empty by the end of the film, but I did enjoy aspects that did work in the film. I also liked that it try to do something different and not the typical cookie cutter formula you see many of the MCU origin films follow. I think this definitely would have worked much better as an eight episode D+ series. The biggest complaint is that Sersi is the lead and also the most boring character in the movie by far. By necessity, all of their character motivations are really shallow, but at least they have character motivations.
