While I'm looking forward to it, the fact that Pattinson refused to train for the role leads to believe the fights are going to be a lot of "punch-camera cut-punch" moments because I just don't see him having the stamina for anything choreographed beyond a few hits.

It's kinda weird that I'm actually hoping this Batman will turn out to be the edgy, grimdark, psychotic holy war on crime-style Batman. I think I re-read 'The Dark Knight Returns' and 'Year One' one too many times, lol.

I couldn't have been paid to care about the new Batman movie until recently, but I'm definitely getting the above vibe from the last couple of trailers and I'm digging it.

Shouldnt be hard, the Nolan movies had notoriously lack luster fight scenes, I guess Batfleck saving Martha Kent is the current best fight scene?

I'm pretty sure he didn't "refuse to train." He just refused to get to the dehydrated marble statue shape superhero movies typically want. They've shown enough fight scenes in the trailers that I doubt they're going to be jump cutting a ton.

Burton speaks for himself. Schumacher is technically a continuation of those movies. Bale absolutely murdered those ninjas in Begins. >_>

Hell, even West killed some dudes in his movie. Though that might have been an accident and "technically" the bad guy's fault lol

Batman just absolutely tanking close range machine gun fire in the trailers was very cool but didn't seem very "Batman like."

i like the detective work too. Havent seen much of that in any Batman movies. Plenty of it in animated shows though.

like I really want to see a smarter analytical Batman

Really hope we dont get too much Superman stuff. Batman should never walk through a hail of bullets unless he is wearing power armor and has his face actually covered by power armor.

No, by refusing to train he meant that he refuses to take steroids and PEDs that all superhero actors take for their roles.

I refuse. Also how does that stop a stray bullet from hitting his jaw? Also any pushback from getting hit by a hail of bullets? Also Batman rarely wears fully bulletproof armor, he wears mostly bullet resistant armor and prefers to not get hit in the first place. In any such situations were he does get into dangerous situation where he would need to tank bullets, he would use a gadget to get out of it first.

his first defense is to not get seen.
hes like wearing full state of the art armor, and hes a huge dude in tip top shape. The only thing exposed is his chin but if youre close enough to one tap him there odds are he already has you disarmed.

i mean yeah its Batman, its a comic book. Theres gonna be science fiction elements. But bullet proof armor isnt new

Yet Batman does not wear bulletproof armor in its entirety. He rather have the mobility and only wears bullet resistant armor and maybe something tougher in the chest area. The whole point of Batman is not get shot. Walking through a hail of bullets is a Superman technique, not Batman. Batman would smokebomb and hide. Or throw up his cape to help slow down the bullets. Or duck and cover, and or not be in the hail of bullets in the first place. Do what Ronin did in Hawkeye, stealth takedowns.

Did I say that was believable? Also Wonder Woman is super human anyways, either she is a golem or a demigod. Batman shouldn't be doing that stuff.
