Meh. I get Hulu through my phone provider. Prime is incidental to the shipping benefits. Netflix is a family account that my parents pay for. So really all I'm paying for is Disney+ and HBO. Still a lot better than cable with more TV than I could ever hope to watch.

I thought the 4k plan was only $15, but also there's nothing stopping you from cycling between services.

Sure, it's a little inconvenient but it's still far cheaper than dealing with a basic cable subscription.

And that's exactly why some people choose to pirate. Netflix used to be super convenient to the point that most people didn't feel the need to. Then various companies all wanted to dip their toe into the streaming business, and of course they all want shows exclusively for them.

It got inconvenient, so people took to the seas.

I just go with the cheapo netflix and deal with it. Quality is good enough for me.
Then go with Funimation for the anime. The catalogue is pretty damn robust. Im hoping with this Crunchyroll acquisition that Sony rolls them together.

If you cant really afford a service, you still have free options.

Tubi is about the best one.
Peacock offers a lot for their free plan.
Crackle and Pluto are also there.

It was inevitable that this was going to happen the moment Netflix showed streaming was successful.
