Was looking for new movies to get and watch but found out that the king's man actually already released back in december, the heck

it was a prequel

Oh shit I didn't realize Kingsman 3 was out lol

What's really annoying that I didn't anticipate is that since Disney bought Fox, they own the movie, and unlike HBO they're being asses and not releasing it digitally so one would have to wait 3/4 months before seeing a movie.

I was wondering why it didn't premiere on HBO like the previous two but I forgot that it was a Fox studio production which also means it's not going to be on any streaming service either.

They insisted on releasing a movie that most people forgot about two years ago only in theaters during what's quickly shaping up to be the biggest wave of the pandemic. Bold strategy Cotton, etc.

Conflicted on if I care. Secret Service was so fucking good. Then Golden Circle or whatever was hot runny dogshit.

It's 6.8 on IMDB which is 0.1 higher than Golden Circle.

I can see Disney killing the series off though.

I still hate how they just straight-up killed everyone off super early in the movie.

The only saving grace of Golden Circle was that they deliberately bucked the Bond-esque trend by having him settle down with and marry the princess from the first movie who would've been a one-night stand in a comparable Bond movie.

And Elton John was pretty darn funny.

I liked the robot dogs, but hate what they did to Merlin

I actually like it more. Julianne Moore was great, Channing Tatum was great, Pedro Pascal was great. It had the best blend of so bad it's good quality

I thought it was Kingsman 4?

Either way, I really liked the first one, until the anal sex joke. Never really felt a desire to explore the universe in further detail, though.

Golden Circle is not that bad. Honestly, I feel it was saved by Elton John. His scenes were hilarious, especially the Rocket Man scene with the dogs.

I'll check this just because of the actors involved, but I really hate the fact that it's a prequel.

It will hit HBO because their deal with Fox carried over to Disney and will expire after this year.

Golden circle was pretty okay. The trailers for this one made it look underwhelming.

Really? I thought that was hilarious. Throwing the middle finger to innuendo and flat-out saying 'save the world and you can fuck me in the ass' was not only spit take-inducing, it was arguably my favorite Bond trope deconstruction in the whole movie. Plus like I alluded to earlier, whatever offensive qualities the bit had, Golden Circle made up for by having them end up in a long-term relationship and not just a throwaway fling.

Yeah, it's a good joke.

But it ruined the mood for the rest of the film for me.

I'll probably mute the part if I watch the filom again.

Well, uncomfortable is a strong word. More like... I associated everything else that happened in the movie after that with anal sex >_>

I dunno why, I'm not usually skiddish like that. Well maybe with fart jokes. But everything else I'm usually fine with. I think the joke was just so brutal in its execution it stuck with me and I wasn't happy about it.

I wanted to see him use that knife from the plane.

They made a third one? I haven't even seen the second. Didn't know the first required a sequel.

That's only after it's done with the theater release though right, which is controlled by Disney

did they not think of milking the movies and did that lol, kinda hated it

I haven't seen the second one, but I did see the prequel awhile back.

I enjoyed it, but I thought that it was more serious than the first one. Not that I'd call the first one a comedy, but it definitely did have a lot of funny moments. The prequel doesn't have any that I can think of.

I'll probably catch it when its streaming. The second one was a huge step down but I'd still rather see more Egsy and dont care much for a prequel.
