went to Mr. pokemon's house, headed back to see Professor Elm since he called me and was freaking out.

Had to take a break so I went to save it, and got the message that I can't save it because there's already a save file and I have to go back to the title screen and delete the file

well fuck me I guess!

I think that happened to me once too. Probably with Black 2 if that feature was still in that game. It's probably not the best method for preventing players from accidentally losing previous save data.

A separate issue, but the other night I was playing Black 2 again and lost both pokeymans in the same turn of a double battle. Then whenever I tried to send out a new pokeyman to replace them, it kept saying I couldn't with some nonsensical message. Eventually I gave up and closed the game and lost all my progress for the night. Later I looked it up and apparently you have to swap the fainted pokeyman's spot in the party menu with its replacement, not just select "switch" or whatever like you normally do. It's just super unclear for no good reason. I haven't bothered starting it up again.

Wow, what the fuck. The exact same thing happened to me last night?? I didn't lose progress cause I looked it mid fight but I was hella confused.

I think I actually did figure out what you're supposed to do years ago when I played the game, but had since forgotten. It's such a stupid implementation.

Yeah, it's real dumb. I think you hafta pick one and hit "switch" and then pick the fainted pokeyman you want it to replace, then hit "switch" on THAT pokeyman. I kept thinking you just select the poke you want to send out and hit switch like you do any other time you're swapping pokeymans during a battle.
