I've never heard of anyone complaining about it. It's how they can make fresh patties every day and add meat to their chili. Minimize waste.

Old is not accurate. Makes it sound like theyre using hamburgers from a week ago. In truth, the burgers that arent used at lunch are chopped up and made into chili that day. Hardly qualifies as old.

Depends on the store's meat production and chilli production levels. But basically still just overcooked patties that couldn't be served for burgers.

Especially when all she wanted was her medical expenses paid. It was the jury who decided to give her the large sum of money.

No matter how many times those vegan/vegetarian activist groups try to find a way to make fast food seem repulsive, I keep eating it.

It's like they got tired of saying "If you knew how hot dogs were made, you'd never eat one again," because nobody stopped eating hot dogs. Now they're just throwing things at the wall trying to make something stick.

Wendy's Chili is some of the best drive-thru chili you can get, imo. It's reasonably priced and (at least at my location) there's plenty of meat in it.

I just have plenty of experiences with vegans telling me things like this. "Hot dogs are made of old ground up meat skins and fat, isn't that gross?" I mean, no, not really. The skin and fat are perfectly edible, and it makes sense not to waste things if you don't have to.

"McDonald's McNuggets are made of pink slime, look at it raw" I mean, sure...maybe it looks like pink slime when they blend the All White-Meat chicken up in a grinder and churn it out into patty shapes, but that doesn't mean it isn't chicken anymore.

"Wendy's just uses old hamburger patties to make their chili, isn't that disgusting?" No. No it isn't.

It's exactly because they don't freeze the meat it's constantly spoiling. Meat getting close to the expiration date gets thrown into the chili.

Even before they did all white meat chicken, it was still made of chicken. This way, though, they have grounds for legal arguments against folk who talk shit about their chicken nuggets. It's right there on the sign, "all white meat." If somebody wants to try to challenge them on false advertising, they're welcome to do so, and that's the kicker.

It might have had some fillers in it before, but it has always been chicken. "Pink slime" is just ground up/blended chicken with some seasonings and such in it.

Not at all. The whole vegan stereotype exists for a reason--a decent number of the vegans I've met fit the stereotype like a glove. Not nearly all of them, obviously, but enough of them. It's more of an amusing trait than it is anything else, and I get a laugh out of it.

As one example: I had a vegetarian home-ec instructor in high school. One day, she showed us a video of cows being slaughtered in a slaughterhouse in gruesome detail, including the butchering process and everything else. After it was over, she asked the "Who's still going to eat beef after watching this?" question, and most of the class raised their hands. It was just one of many things she tried to do to get us to stop eating meat, but I don't think it worked on any of my classmates lol.
