Like, why are people interested in movies meant for children and families for? I mean, unless you belong in that age group or demographic.

The story is predictable as hell (obv. a good ending for the main character) and the comedy is just childish lame at best.

Except for me, I just wanted to be post 2. But I'm actually not interested in movies in general so I guess techinally I'm not interested in specific studios.

They don't look appealing anymore. Maybe because I'm old. Aladdin and lion king forever

Some are still cool as an adult. Just different. At least with the older ones, you can appreciate the animation way more as a mature person.

I absolutely adored the new movie, Encanto. It's so colourful and fun <3

I havent been interested in any of their recent stuff tbh. Ever since the pandemic. I loved Frozen II but ever since then Ive been indifferent. Maybe its psychosomatic, like not being being able to see them in theaters at release has made them less enjoyable for me or not even interesting. Like, I watched Raya not too long ago and it did absolutely nothing for me lol. And Encanto I feel like I have no interest in.

And its been a long time since Pixar wowed me. Still havent watched Soul or anything else after Onward yet because Ive just felt so disinterested. Even pre-pandemic stuff I thought was just ok (even Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4).

Maybe Im just outgrowing it?

I never was super crazy about them either besides when was a kid. Ultimately they're just not for me nor my kind of movie.

I feel like modern Dreamworks just exists to pump out 2-hours long tv pilots and trick people into thinking they're movies. Boss Baby has four seasons how in the hell

I stopped caring about Pixar sometime around Wall-E. Think the only thing I've seen since was Incredibles 2.

I really don't care one iota about the post-2D Disney canon, except Tangled. >_>

I still keep an eye out for Pixar. Aside from the occasional cars 3, there's always a Coco right around the corner lol shout out to Into the spiderverse which is Sony, but still top tier story telling.

Pixar has been bad for a while. DreamWorks is mostly bad. Disney still occasionally produces quality but I don't think I've really liked a Disney animation movie since Zootopia.

You don't have to be a kid to like wholesome content. Coco and Encanto are good movies and people seem to like Moana and Luca a lot.

That's outside the longer running series.

Youd probably save a decent chunk of change by not buying movies that you dont or might not like.

it's just weird there's such a glaring gap in western animation where on one end you have something that outright offends and on the other end animation aimed at kids/wholesomeness in general, but nothing in between like a pixar size budget/talent with themes that aren't meant to be wholesome.
