I got to feeling sick a little less than ten minutes before 10:00 PM last Saturday. I remember having a sudden coughing fit and thinking "not now" because my shift was just about to end and I hated that I was getting sick just as I was about to have some free time. I forced myself to stay awake and watch a movie, but I was out of it for the next few days.

My COVID test came back negative. I almost wonder if it was a false-negative. I don't recall the flu or anything but COVID hanging on as long as this thing has. I've worked three days (remotely) since getting sick. I hope to feel a lot better tomorrow. It's just crazy how this cough will not go away.

I was back to work by Day 3.

I had influenza 4 years ago and I had fevers for 11 days. Peaked over 104 twice and would stay there for a few hours each. Baseline in the low 100s throughout. It was pretty awful. Just an FYI about duration.

let me ask you this, do you consume any sugar? I know its a bit weird to ask that, but I had a chronic cold for nearly 2 years that would pop in and out, and it turns out sugar was my issue. I stopped using granulated sugar with my tea/coffee and it just went away after a couple days.

If not its just a common cold. I've had colds that lasted weeks.

cold is standard sneezing and maybe coughing plus runny/stuffy nose. nothing compared to coroni.

I drink a lot of carbonated beverages on the regular. I haven't had any sugar since getting sick.

If your still drinking carbonated drinks stop it for now, see if that helps. I used to drink 1-2 cans every couple days.

I haven't since the first day. I've actually gone a week without one.
