Are you one of those dingbats who believes ivermectin works for COVID?

A Covid-19 patient tried to sneak in anti-parasite drug IVERMECTIN into an Ontario, Canada Hospital inside a STUFFED ANIMAL!!

David Musyj, the hospitals CEO wrote that the adult patient brought the stuffed animal with them to the ICU and as a staff member was collecting their belongings, they noticed a slit inside the stuffed animal and inside was the ivermecin.

Ivermectin was promoted by conservative commentators in the US who say is a treatment for the disease despite lack of conclusive evidence that it helps .

The hospital was not prescribing the drug to covid patients and said what people are doing is purchasing the formulation that's used on animals, particularly large animals such as horses or cows and the likelihood of a serious major side effect could occur, likely poisoning themselves

He commended the staff member for finding the drug hidden inside the stuffed animal and urges employees to keep an eye out for suspicious objects and urges people not to trust everything they read on social media

Are you one of those people who believes Ivermectin works on humans for covid?

Ivermectin and Hydroquloroquin are both proven to work and are efficiently used in many African and Asian countries. I still get the vaccines, but would take those medications if the government allowed it.

Why yes, they are medicines that do work on the things they are intended to work on

Funny how Africa regularly prescribes Ivermectin for COVID-19 and they have never had a mass breakout like the rest of the world.

There is a preliminary study that hydroxychloroquine MIGHT have an effect... but ivermectin has zero effect

But that preliminary study didn't lead anywhere because followup studies with a larger cohort showed it was with the margin of error for not working at all.

It would appear that some studies have found it beneficial

I can do metaanalysis, too

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34318930/

> Based on the current very low- to low-certainty evidence, we are uncertain about the efficacy and safety of ivermectin used to treat or prevent COVID-19. The completed studies are small and few are considered high quality. Several studies are underway that may produce clearer answers in review updates. Overall, the reliable evidence available does not support the use ivermectin for treatment or prevention of COVID-19 outside of well-designed randomized trials.
