I've only watched it sporadically, i'm sure i've seen every episode but couldn't tell you which one is in which season. That said, my favorite episode was probably when Dewey was mailing Reese to go kick some guy's ass but had him in the garage in a crate.

frankie muniz suffered a series of strokes and most of his childhood memories were wiped clean
he does not remember filming anything from malcolm in the middle

so when he finally sat down and watched the series in his adult years it was like watching the series for the very first time since he couldnt remember any of it

This turned out to not be true. He has a bad memory that he admits probably has something to do with his concussions, but it was mostly just taken out of context. The strokes were also a misdiagnosis.

They ruined his chances of getting a great job right out of high school that would have made him rich. Their reasons are that they have his entire life planned out up to his becoming president one day but he needs to suffer to not forget the lower class families he came from so he stands up for the little guy. Had they let him get a good job their plans for his life would be ruined

Agreed as well. It made no sense, and Francis went from being a responsible adult to going back to being a loser.

I watched the show regularly when it first aired but haven't seen it since. I'd love to watch it again.

Yeah, he used to appear in every episode, but starting with season 6, his appearances became way more sporadic, and I think he didn't he show up until partway through season 6.

The up-close gutter ball was one of the greatest moments in television.

I remember the final seasons being not well liked but when I watched it through again a few years I thought it was pretty solid all the way through. It still holds up and the Breaking Bad alternate ending is hilarious. It is sad though that Francis' teacher at the military school ended up dying in a similarly depressing way as his character appeared in later seasons.

The middle school seasons are definitely better than the high school ones & I dont think many people (if any) would disagree but the show was pretty good all the way through (season 7 felt a bit off but it had a few good eps at least)

I saw this when I was a kid and I remember wondering if the actress who played Cynthia I think really did have giant boobs in that episode where she comes back from summer overseas. Then at the end Malcolm grabs them so I always wondered if Frankie really did get to grab them or did they put a shitload of padding under her shirt considering she was probably 14 or 15 at the time.

I love that episode, but I'm a sucker for that sort of trope, where the family is usually antagonistic, but then have a common "enemy" to bring them together. Same with an earlier episode with Lois' birthday, and they do it multiple times in Married With Children.

Lots of people can become different when they get away from abusers but can fall exactly into the same place they were before when those abusers are around especially when it is family.

Yeah I didn't notice it the first time but my most recent rewatch it hit me immediately.

Similar fun fact: The faceless actress who played Malcolm's first girlfriend Sarah in S3 would later play the girl whose party he went to in the Thanksgiving episode from S5. She was also the first person to play Ann Veal in Arrested Development before Mae Whitman took over for the long haul.
