I beat the main story for Borderlands 2 last year. I revisited the game and realized I can play the DLC. So I finished the pirates booty and now I'm doing Torgue's Campaign of Carnage.

I play Axton after learning he was the best for solo. I only use his survival skills. Currently level 37.

I've already decided to skip raid/invincible bosses until I get someone to play with me. Is it worth playing the remaining dlc by myself? Should I do dlc with different characters? iirc, I would have to start all over tho.

Keep playing the DLC with your current character. Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep is the best one. 100% worth playing even alone.

The headhunter packs aren't amazing but still fun in their own right.

At having the lowest damage sure

Gaige is the best solo because Deathtrap can be built to just solo everything at least until True and Ultimate VHM

You absolutely won't beat the ultimate final boss in Dragon's Keep all by yourself at your current level or even at level 50 so yeah skip that it's required you have a full house of teammates joining you, not just one other.

That said, keep on going with all the main and sidequest missions on there. It's a hilarious fun time. The rest of the DLC in the collection however, are not really good. Funny and amusing but lame from a gameplay perspective and you definitely need to level up around 40 and above to survive them.

Gaige's Anarchy (Ordered Chaos skill tree) is the most fun mechanic I've ever had in a first person shooter.

If you haven't played as her you're doing such a huge disservice to yourself.

I'd start over as her and do all the DLC with her maxed.

If TC is still in normal mode then the enemy level cap is like 30. If he's in TVHM then enemies will scale up to 50. And in UVHM enemies will scale until 80.

Normal mode enemies and bosses after level 30 are all absolutely do-able solo. I've done it myself without any issue

I'm in normal mode iirc. How do I start level 50 mode and level 80 mode? Shouldn't I finish the dlc first

When you select your character there's an option to switch between Normal/True/Ultimate Vault Hunter mode. Personally I rush through the first two because UVHM is when everything starts leveling with you so you can do whatever in any order. You can do the DLC at the start of any playthrough, but you'll have to play through and beat the main game to unlock the next mode iirc.

Yeah that's correct about the cap adjustments. I started the DLCs after finishing the main game and unlocked true vault hunter mode which made the game significantly tougher...and I kinda wish I hadn't because that meant MORE GRINDING. Didn't really know wtf I was doing, I thought it meant something along the lines of a NG+ style of replayability *shrug*

As much as I like Borderlands 3, if you didn't like 2 for whatever reason, there is a good chance you won't like 3.

Don't remember when Macho Man died, but he had to have been set or considered the voice for that character. That shit would've been so excellent :/

Tiny Tina's DLC is the best one by a large margin. Best content and best gear.

The headhunter maps are also pretty fun little holiday maps.

I also don't agree Axton is the best solo character, but he is my favorite.

As much as I love the BL series, and as much as 3 improved graphically / game play wise - it just seemed like it went on too long. Some of the writing was sub par too. Big bads were meh.

I definitely agree with those complaints. Writing was wack. Villains sucked. The game DRAGGED. I put so many hours into BL2 playing through the campaign with multiple characters. I was super hyped for BL3. Only to find out I did not enjoy it at all. Was unmotivated to try new characters just because of how long the damn campaign is.

I'll have to try BL3 again sometimes. I played BL2 like 7 years after release so I didn't have to deal with balance changes.

With BL3, I decided to put it down until the numbers are stable. I was also hoping they would completely redo mayhem mode.

Did BL3 ever stop with the live service crap? Even if I went back to it I just remembered that I'd still be missing content if it's not the right time of the year.
