I hope there isn't a cycle of Crunches. That would just make life and everything...kind of pointless.

Wait.... if its a cycle then does that mean there could have been previous cycles with civilizations like ours?

Yep. Maybe with some variations to physics or life. Maybe you had a bigger nose in the previous cycle.

The Milky Way isn't going to be merged in with Andromeda or any other galaxy. We're not going to strip out the soul of the galaxy.

I believe if the universe really is accelerating it's expansion or at least expanding continuously with no evidence of slowing down, there'll eventually be a heat death/big freeze. Every living thing in the universe will die, along every star.

Technically, it will still exist though. Just completely dark with cold rocks spread so far apart from each other. If there is a cycle, not sure how the universe could bounce back from that, but I guess it's possible.

what about black holes? Wouldnt they just go around sucking in the matter left? I figure over a near infinite time the matter would be all sucked up and accrete in a massive black hole creating the next seed

When I die.

I mean as far as I will know it doesnt exist anymore.

You dont just disappear. All the atoms and stuff will be around forever. You may not be conscious and you as you are now, but you will be around in some capacity.

I think we just become eternally part of the stars, and once our sun super novas, we eventually get deposited to planets or meteors, maybe one that can sustain life. And eventually if were lucky become plants and animals again millions of years from now.

until eventually stars all run out of energy and eventually collapse in on themselves trillions of years later, and the Big Bang happens again.

Were eternal basically.

Humble Earth goes away when our Sun does, provided the climate crisis or nuclear war doesn't get us first. Life has always been rather meaningless on its own, that's why we must make our own meaning.

Black holes don't last forever, they radiate their energy. So eventually all the black holes will die too. The energy the shot out will lose its energy too and quantum tunnel its way into nothingness.

Others don't get to dictate what's normal and what isn't. It's something we decide for ourselves. That's why it's the most important thing to us.
