Oh, hmm, I should buy Baba Is You before the sale ends. Been wanting it for a while and I know that it's a game that you can chip away at a little at a time.

basically Touhou + Irisu Syndrome. it's slower/more puzzle-y, you play stages individually, and you have a health bar so despite being fairly unusual it's a lot more accessible to new players than a lot of modern bullet hell titles (besides maybe the stray dog thing)

indie shmup with a lot of homages/references to classic shmups like Radiant Silvergun and anime. reasonably accessible, although a lot of people get frustrated/turned off by the true last boss.

pre-slay the spire deckbuilder. I kind of wish more games took more after the floor map in this game than the node map in Slay the Spire (since you can visit things in whatever order you want, backtrack to get stuff when you actually have the money for it or need it, save weak enemies until you're wounded but close to a level up so you can get a free heal before you fight something difficult, etc). It's pretty rough/unbalanced though, since it's not unusual to run into an enemy with a gimmick that just completely ruins your run (I haven't yet been able to get past the second floor, of three). and you have to grind a lot for unlocks, even if you take a shortcut by just buying them with your points. (the ms paint aesthetic is more hilarious than bad or anything, really)

ok I haven't quite gotten around to playing yet, and it's pretty much all style over substance compared to something like Omori, but that style sure is... something.
