That's in the MCU. In the comics, he fought in Civil War for the right for super heroes to remain anonymous, even though he himself doesn't have a secret identity. In the movie he's being selfish. In the comics he actually was morally superior.

I haven't seen the show but I did see right wing twitter get furious because apparently the show has a racist cop in it.

Which makes me laugh sadly considering that they are literally more outraged at the depicition of a fictional racist character in a TV show than they are outraged at real life racism that inspired it

They're very upset at racism interrupting their lives for nearly twenty seconds.

They do not finish the thought and wonder how much more annoying it is to have racism actually interrupt your life.

Captain America doesn't believe in propaganda. That's literally the opposite of what he stands for, actually. He believes in the ideals of America, not the reality/government.

So he'd be perfectly fine with LGBTQ people, wouldn't think people should smoke pot recreationally but wouldn't think it should be criminalized. He'd also understand the medicinal purposes and think it should be used that way.

He'd be Pro-Choice since he believes in personal freedoms.

Assuming we're talking strictly about MCU Cap, from Winter Soldier onward he was given a very clear 'cut the bullshit' sense of worldliness. There is no reality in which he falls for Trumpism.

And the support group scene at the beginning of Endgame shows that he's LGBT-friendly.

Honestly, I felt like it all detracted from the show and made it less enjoyable. Less so just the cop and all the plotlines regarding racism and the like. The show itself was alright, but I felt like Bucky needed more character development. Half the time he felt tacked on, throw out those scenes and give Bucky more stuff and I feel like it would've been better.

IF aliens turned up and blew up Chille. Racist people will still be racist.

Hell a black guy with Superpowers would trigger hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

In fact there's precedent for this.

In WW1 America gave out pamplets to the Allied Forces in Western Europe (mainly English, Belgian, French) telling them to stop being nice to the black American soldiers because it would give them ideas about ending segregation.

While hundreds of thousands of people were dying in trenches and fighting across multiple continents by the millions. The American government was literally going "Oh shit, the French are talking to black dudes! We gotta put a stop to that!"

But I'm rambling. Again I'll point out, if you're that bothered by a racist fictional character in a TV show, take 12 seconds to imagine being a victim of racism frequently in real life

How is it an asspull? Racism makes no sense. A pandemic has been ruining everyone's lives for 2 years now and people still find time to hate on each other about the color of their skin instead of working together to return the world to normalcy. Which was all just humans. There's a difference with dramatic events being only on earth and only taking place with humans vs aliens from outer space invading multiple times and people with super powers as well as murdering AIs being invented. I mean you literally brought up an example from over a 100 years ago during segregation as to why racism would still exist today if aliens invaded. It was a completely different time and is silly at best to use it as 'proof.'

What's his creator's views on those issues? There's your answer.

Tricky question, because official writers can still misunderstand characters that they're writing. That's why sometimes, creators voice their disdain for the way their characters are being handled by others.

If he truly believes in freedom and personal liberties yes he would support people choosing to use weed or get an abortion.

The LGBTQ+ stuff is basic human decency so Cap would obviously have no issue with people simply loving each other

Alright, I literally just finished the show like two days ago and I'm gonna have to drop a "fucking seruously?" at this, sorry :(
The show deals with racism for so little out of the entire 6 episode runtime, I'm actually surprised they didn't make it a bigger deal.

Anyways, what I loved about Falcon/Winter Soldier was near the end when Bucky straight up says that neither he nor Cap really thought about any racial implications when Steve passed the shield/mantle onto Sam, because they were both from a different time. It didn't say they were racist, but it also didn't say that they magically were paragons of race equality.

Or maybe I'm talking out my ass, who knows. Again, I just finished the show so I wanted to say something about it.

No, that was the point. Even though they weren't racist themselves, they were still out of touch with the idea of what "America" means to black Americans. Which is completely understandable.
