Its 66 fucking degrees in my apartment.

I am going to fucking die the first day temps dip below zero.

Put on a long sleeve shirt or something, 66 is hardly intolerable. I usually keep my house at 65 year round.

Its utterly freezing. Least at night when my body temp drops like a rock. I like it colder during the day and hotter at night to match the natural tempature change of my circadian rhythm. Its not uncommon for me to temp 95-96 in the morning and at night. Even close to 94 isnt unusual enough for me to be concerned.

I am comfortable at like...69-73 at night lol. 66 during the day is fine because I am a bit more active and my body temp is warmer in general.

Sinus issues + Medicore circulation(Partly genetic partly from posture) + Autistic hypersensitivity=Fuck the cold.

I also move ALOT in my sleep so me kicking my blankets off is not uncommon...

Honestly I feel like I have become more sensitive to the cold then I used to beand I did lose 15 pounds in roughly a year(without trying thanks to reflux and stress. I was on the absolute low edge of a healthy weight before. Pretty sure now I am a bit underweight. I have very little body fat or muscle and never have so I have Jack shit to insulate naturally with.)

I am 511 140lbs

Now it's a 13 degree deficient between setting and actual temp.

Heater was making wierd ass noises at 2AM.

RIP CE man room shot up to 73 degrees.

Honestly there is no reason for the heat to be set so high. You are just wasting resources and contributing to climate change. If you want to be so wasteful I would suggest researching alternate clean energy ways to heat your house and lower your carbon footprint.

Me too. I had my heat set to 69/70 (old school dial) and overnight it was 59 degrees in the house. I don't really care, but it makes me realize I need some new windows. Leaks don't have to be just at windows but at my place they are a huge part of the problem.

It's set to auto. Now that it's getting below freezing I feel it blows more often.

No. The air never is noticeably warm with this system but it still keep things at a comfortable tempature before now.

But I keep my house at 68. I use a blanket if I am sitting on the couch. You can always get yourself a heated blanket if you are that cold.

I usually keep it 67-70 and turn it higher for a bit to warm myself up if I was outside for awhile when its cold or something. Lower(or off if not going to be close to freezing if going to be gone all day or overnight)

if the unit is constantly running but not warming up the space, either the heater is dying or the insulation is terrible. are you renting or do you own?

consider a space heater to keep the room you're currently in warm so you aren't paying to heat the entire home.

electric blankets are very cost effective for keeping warm at night.

This is kinda random, but I'd recommend getting an electric fireplace. They won't heat up the room all that well in my experience, but when you come inside and you're still cold, they feel friggin fantastic to sit in front of and help you warm back up.

Renting. This is a recent issue so I doubt insulation is the chief cause. Contributory perhaps.

have you told the landlord you think your heater isn't working properly? do you pay the utility bill or is it included in rent?

Electricity and internet is not covered. Everything else is. Water, gas, etc.

If this is a recent issue, has it been colder than normal in your area? I was having a similar issue a few weeks ago. It was freezing when I woke up, despite the thermostat being set to 73. But we were having overnight lows far lower than our usual. It's been fine this week.

Nah. It's Ohio. Weather from 10-40 degrees is pretty normal this time of year. Actually been a bit warmer then usual had quite a gee 50-60+ days in December.
