We are both foreigners living in Japan. I have a full-time job, and she is a student, working part time. I guess her parents used to pay for her tuition from Vietnam, but then Covid happened, and you know. Anyway, gf is struggling. We live in different towns so i cant invite her to live with me, which I gladly would. Ive tried offering her money, but she wouldnt take it. I guess she borrowed a lot of money from friends and pays it back faithfully. She makes enough to pay rent, utilities, her friend, and food. But not enough for tuition. Im getting worried that she has bitten off more than she can chew. Im trying to consider options for her. -Finding a roommate -scholarships -loans (last resort, debt is hell) It is hard being a foreigner in Japan. Im trying to figure out how to help her. She cant make enough. Im wondering if she is missing some vital thing that other students use, if she is really bad with money, or if she is just really having a rough time. I wanna help her. She is waifu material. She has been there for me in hard times too. Anyone have any ideas for a Vietnamese foreigner studying in Japan? I know it is a stretch, but Im at a loss. If she makes enough for rent, utilities, paying back her friend, and food, why is she struggling with money? Does Japan not offer student loans and grants for foreign students? If they do, I don't understand where the problem is coming from. ... Copied to Clipboard!
