It has some of the best writing I've ever seen in a video game

Shadow of the templars? That DS game from 10 years ago? It was ok. I wouldn't play it again but it was a nice time killer for a couple of days

That's just a port, the original game was on PC in the 90s and it's one of the best games in its genre.

Oh its some pc game

Oh gosh I just realized something, point and click games would be perfect on smartphones. They're not intensive button mashers so can be played with ease, and the touch screen capability of phones ideally makes them more intuitive and fun to play

The nun wafer factory in the third (?) game is amazing. Really shows off the funny-ass writing the series is known for, although most games fit that bill. I tried to submit some quotes to the site's trivia section for each, but there's probably a lot I missed.

I think I got all the Broken Sword games for $10 a few years back and it was a pretty good purchase, playing through all of 'em. Other than one of the middle games (third?) that wasn't very point-and-clicky, the series has had a pretty good showing all throughout, and the humor and writing's always been there. Definitely something to look for during Steam sales.

I only ever played the first two back in the day but I really enjoyed them.

I prefer the first 3 Monkey Island games though. Also quite fond of Full Throttle.

There are quite a few classic point and click games on phones right now.

blackwell series is what's under rated

Thimbleweed Park is a great modern point and click.

Not tried those, I'll have to check them out.

I liked the fourth game the least mainly because IIRC unlike the third game, key items and points of interest are not highlighted so they are often hard to find. Both the third and fourth game are in full 3D so they are not standard point and click games, but I actually liked the third game a lot.

I've been meaning to play that for quite some time, as well as the two sequels
P&Cs are fun when done right but too often they're plagued by insane moon logic puzzles that are just impossible unless use a guide, or happen to have the same flavor of schizophrenia as the lead developer

Broken Sword really isnt bad with crazy logic I find.

Yeah developer logic is annoying. I like when the solution flows naturally, like in zelda you have a cobweb, you light a wooden stick with fire and if burns through the cobweb to create a path, ingenious.

Ok something else annoying came up, smartphone screens are small so these old games that require you to find something in the background are torture, especially pre-rendered background stuff

I got so much fun with this tittle when I was young. But it's for sure too hard.
