I feel the opposite

I am not enjoying this game :(

Jump and dash being on separate buttons actually makes no sense. I want my first jump to be a jump and my second jump to be the dash. Maybe there is another double jump power or something, but the controls are not fun. It's pretty clear that is was just slightly easier to program it this way, but that doesn't make it fun.

Music is bad (so far).

I don't really like how most screens have 1-way doors.

I don't like how many places you can't tell a pit from a path.

I don't like the physics for jumping from the side of a moving platform to get a boost. The timing is too precise, I should jump further if I am moving faster, not just at the end of the charge.

I don't like the art-style but that's just subjective I don't really *fault* the game for that.

Now for things I DO like:

-collecting strawberries I guess
-not having infinite grip
-trans MC

I don't really get how this is "one of the best games ever made." If you like this game you will definitely enjoy "The End is Nigh" (I don't really like that game either).

It's just so far below something like Meat Boy or Cuphead where you are having fun the second you hit the floor.

Thats unfortunate.

You definitely don't want the dash mapped to the jump button, that would completely clash with a mechanic they introduce pretty early on.

Got to chapter 2 and I'm liking it a little more. Giving me IWBTG vibes (IWBTG is an amazing game).

There's a thing they introduce that often requires you to dash into it from a standing position, having to jump first and then dash would not work very well.

I'm fairly certain I had to dash without jumping first quite often

Yea I'm at those things now. Being chased by shadow clones. It makes sense now (didn't take long to get used to).

Celeste is really good. one of the best platformers in recent memory

Easily worth 5 bucks. I'd probably put it at 15-20 bucks in terms of how much enjoyment I got out of it and how long I played it. I think I did all A and B side. It's quite satisfying, I had a lot of clips of me completing certain levels and after more than a year later of not playing them I watch them back and realize it looks so easy, even when I spent probably 20-50 tries on each of those clips.

It's an okay frozen pizza, $5 is just a lil steep. Walmart is cheaper.
