Wait wait wait theyre remaking Timesplitters? How am I just now hearing about this?

I never played 1, is it part of this? I cant tell from the characters/levels this at least encompasses 2 and Future Perfect.

this is a fan project that's been going on for a long while. it's unrelated to the new game they announced last year on which we have no info at all.

ReWind is supposed to have most if not all characters of the 3 games for multiplayer as well as a mapmaker. Not sure if they're touching up the campaigns at all

It'll just be PC since this is an unofficial game.

They definitely are but I think that's the last part of the project they're doing. I see some footage of story level areas but I wonder if they'll just be multiplayer maps to begin with

Yeah I just watched the video and it showed a few missions from Timesplitters 1's story mode. That one was pretty basic compared to the two sequels, so certainly it's an easier place to start.

But yeah, looks really good so far. They've been working on it for a really long time though.

Oh a fan game. Id be a little hesitant to get excited about it, def looks like theyre putting in a lot of work, but especially with an official game apparently in the works, whats to stop them from getting hit with a cease and desist right when its done like AM2R?

I just want to play multiplayer online like NOW

I assume they have some kind of plan for any potential legal issues. I'm not exactly sure what that could be though.

Crytek owns the IP, and gave them the go-ahead awhile back.

EDIT: THQ Nordic actually owns it now, but hasn't commented on it

Koch Media actually owns it now apparently. And the next Timesplitters is supposedly being developed by a revived Free Radical and published by Deep Silver.

THQ and Koch are owned by the same group, Embracer, anyway. Deep Silver is part of it too. But yeah, we know nothing about the new game, so I haven't gotten my hopes up at all yet, it might as well not be real still
