I am into all kinds of art mediums but I prefer water color, gouache, soft pastels, and oil pastels. But the community for water color is hands down the worst.

A while back ago I left a Facebook group because it was filled with show offs and Karens. Joined another and instantly remembered why I left it. First post is someone stating they are a beginner and looking to paper options because it's so expensive (it is). 80% of the 200+ comments were for Arches.... one of the most expensive at about 40 dollars for 12 sheets in most cases.... another great past time is brushes... they recommend 200 God damn dollar brushes... (I mean I have a couple but that's besides the point >_>)

Every other medium the community will almost always recommend mid level stuff for all levels of artists. But watercolor? If you ain't spending more than what most people earn in a month than go fuck yourself.

Reminds me of Mechanical Keyboards. If you don't build your own and buy limited edition group buy keycaps for $500-$1000 you're some kind of subhuman apparently.

Man I looked into that vaguely and I don't see it. I mean I can understand having nice things but 700+ for a keyboard? That's a no from me.
