playing through Trails of Cold Steel using the only guide on this site. would it have killed the guy to put boss names in spoiler tags, and important story events in spoiler tags >.>

just skimming through a chapter, seeing if i missed anything before passing through a point of no return, and just get slapped in the face with spoilers

spoilers suuuuck. i grabbed a game this week and went to look for a build for them and the second google autocomplete search was "(character name) death"

its not fine at all. im on the chapter 4 free day evening. was already spoiled for a chapter 3 boss. i already spoiled myself too much playing the first 5 games in this series. my heart cant handle it. i just want a extremely detailed and thorough spoiler free guide. the trails to azure guide was perfect

I never understood using a guide for a first playthrough, especially for a Trails game.

Those games are long enough as is, last thing I would want to do is check a guide every other minute while playing.

Should I do this for my guides? I try not to spoil things like cutscene events, but I will say the names of bosses when it's time to face them.

Trying to 100% your first run in a trails game is basically asking to accidentally get spoiled. For instance, the post I quoted below happened to me. ;-; Same character, I know who.

just spoiler tag boss names and things that could give away key story events. there's not a good example I can give for yakuza 0, but imagine half way through kiryu went super sayain or something, i would spoiler out that, along with any references to super sayain abilities you might want to suggest for boss fights, at least until the next page in the guide where the player can be expected to know those details now

im not sure if you've played trails to azure before, but i find the vita guide for that game to be top notch. thorough, and i dont remember any spoilers that stuck out and wernt tagged. there's some small ones, but nothing you will process while skimming ahead

guides are useful especially for trails games due to how deeply hidden some things are. im the kind of guy that talks to every npc eery time their dialogue rotates, and goes for a completionism run in every other sense. even then, i would still miss a particular quest chain in trails to azure due to a certain NPC movement in a side area, while no other NPC has their dialogue change so I would never have gone looking for them

also, i have no been (somewhat) spoiled, even in this topic, assuming its for a cold steel game >.>
if its crow i already know hes a villain, i have nobody to blame but myself for that spoiler

actually, i just found out the trails to azure guide was written by the same guy who wrote the cold steel guide -_-

how could he have done this to me. i trusted him
