I got lightly bumped by some dumbass in a big truck. I was sitting at a red light and he rear ended me. It was just a little tap, there was no dent or any real visible damage done to my car, so I didnt file a report or anything.

I shoulda files a report cuz Im pretty sure it messed up my lower back. Dont be like me CE

Actually, bumpers aren't even for bumping anymore.

Modern cars are incredibly fragile and even fender benders can do thousands worth of damage.

You want insurance involved because they handle litigation around the accident so if the victim of the accident turns around and tries to sue, your insurance has lawyers that handle it all for you.

Well, I once got a small dent on the side of my car when someone hit me. Definitely noticable but not big enough for me to care about repairing it.

But I got insurances involved and I got 3000 out of it. So it could be worth it to get them involved.

Always, vehicles have expensive sensors that can get damaged by fender benders.
