My girlfriends daughter constantly loses the remote to the TV in her room. I'm trying to teach her to keep things clean and organized to fix that, but shes a defiant little 9 year old.

I want to attach it to her bed in a way she cant lose it, but can still use it. This will annoy her because she cant carry it around, but will solve my issue of having to fucking find it all the time. Anyone have an idea? I'm thinking hot glue and one of those coil key chains.

I tie stuffed animals to all my remotes. I even did this before I had kids. Figure out a way to attack a piece of string to the remote, and then tie a stuffed animal to the string. Usually a piece of string about 18 inches in length preserves the mobility. I also recommend using a brightly colored stuffed animal so it is easier to spot. It makes it significantly harder to lose the remote.

Huh... I like this idea. Might attach it to something annoying as hell instead though. Thanks.
