Yeah, I think the first Iron Man was the only one that didn't really have that.

The first time it was jarring to me was in Doctor Strange. The Beyonc quips were terrible and completely out of character.

There started being more quip fests when Avengers 1 movie got so successful. Suddenly it wasn't just Tony splurging one liners, but everyone.

In the first one, it was mostly just Tony being a wise-ass while everybody else around him played the 'straight man' for him to bounce off of. After a while, everybody kind of adopted the same sense of humor and characters became a lot harder to tell apart.

If you take some of the scenes from Age of Ultron and scrub the names off the script, you would literally not be able to tell who made which jokes.

I first noticed this in Age of Ultron. In the opening scene, it's very jarring when suddenly everyone is talking like Tony

Yeah that's the first one to bother me with the comedy. Not a quip but the scene where he puts on the cape and is all stoic and shit but then the cape starts rubbing his face is where I was like yeah they are overdoing it

I also remember the opening scene of Age of Ultron standing out to me, where something about how everyone was interacting was TOO scripted and something wasn't right.

Then Endgame was a giant SNL sketch with Professor Hulk and fat Thor. NWH was fine though. It didn't have an unnatural team dynamic to contend with though. Each Peter has more of a personal voice than the team in Age of Ultron, which is bizarre if you think about it.

It was always a quip fest, but it became unbearable around the time Guardians of the Galaxy 2 came out.
