it's really helpful and provides a visualization so u can find the biggest files. Looks like the page lists alternatives for other OS

I always liked this freeware better than the already recommended one personally, but both are good.

I legit don't know how I've run out of space. I don't do anything with my PC other than play games, and most of the games are from Steam and not even installed on my computer. I'm pretty good at uninstalling them, but maybe I'm not doing it correctly, lol

Windirstat is the best tool for this job

It did it's thing and I don't know what any of this means. Lots of colors and info I don't know. I don't even know if I can take a take a screen shot of it and post it without someone getting personal info, lol

The top 5 biggest things -

104.9 GB of .rpf files
62.2 GB of .dds
28.6 GB of .sys
27.3 GB of .7z
21.8 GB of .dll

I even had to uninstall Skyrim just to make more room on my PC because I hit 100% just by downloading that and I guess Internet. . .garbage? Whatever it's called that you have to clean out

theres two views. the bottom half is a "visual representation", where each block you see is a file or a folder with a lot of files, the larger the block the more size it got

the top half is more useful imo, its just a list of your folder structure top down and a list of how much space each folder is taking. use that one and ignore the bottom half

But I don't know what I can delete to make more room. And I don't have a clue why my PC's memory is full. It just be all junk shit I don't need.

my understanding is that treesize looks at essentially the "directory" of the filesystem, or table of contents. So its extremely fast and reports what should be there with high accuracy but there is a chance some of it might be wrong

WinDirStat ignores this "directory" and does a thorough search. the result is that its slower, but theres almost no chance of it missing any files since its reporting everything it finds and not just what its told
